Leadership

Richard Meyers is company founder and President. He has full responsibility for coordinating all aspects of project development and implementation.

For the last fourteen (14) years Richard has worked as an independent consultant providing business management, engineering, and systems development services to client companies such as United Parcel Service, Hewlett Packard, US West, Gillette Razor, Verizon, Boston University, and the US Bureau of Land Management.

As a business management consultant he assisted clients in becoming more profitable by improving operations (process re-engineering, removing bottlenecks, increasing quality, and empowering staff), provided strategic planning, and developed several new venture business plans.

As an engineering consultant, he developed several innovative projects in the areas of soil remediation, electric power production and distribution, communications, and computer network administration.

As a systems development consultant he managed and contributed to the design and implementation of advanced computer systems for applications such as finance, general accounting, order processing, decision support/data mining, sales forecasting and analysis, inventory control and MRP.

He has demonstrated expertise in project management, sales, employee development, and contract law. Technically, he has produced solutions featuring advanced networking, telephony, systems administration, electronics, computer aided design/engineering, geographic information systems, data acquisition and analysis, data warehousing, process control, and robotics.

Prior to becoming an independent consultant, he served as a Development Manager for McDonnell Douglas, and the Manager of Systems Engineering for the FutureNet division of Data I/O.

An accomplished project manager, he has built a reputation for delivering solutions that exceed client expectations within time and budget.

An Industrial and Systems Engineer by training (graduating first in his class at U.S.C. in 1978), he has the requisite skills and insight to lead the Alyfe team to success.
